You’re As Cold As Ice
Recap by Rogue
Last Brooklyn Took It of 2018 was…how should I put this…
Friends and Lovers was jam packed with feel good vibes, dope music and DJs, and a crowd that understands the true meaning of a dance party.
We ain’t talkin’ bout bottle service while you’re on your phone type shit.
We’re talkin’ bout that leave your troubles outside the door and dance like no one is watching type shit.
And that’s exactly what happened.
We had the homie Iron Duks join us on the set and as always…he delivered.
It was one of those high energy, nostalgic, oh-my-god-i-haven't-heard-this-in-a-minute type of sets that had the entire room losing their shit.
And they loved every minute of it.
Sir Iron Duks weaved in and out of classics throughout the first portion of his set that instantly packed the dance floor.
It was too damn dope.
Wasting no time at all, Noms got flexi with the tek and delivered razor sharp cuts over selections that had people jumpin’ off walls.
No for real…people were literally jumpin’ off walls and wildin’ out.
It was a truly remarkable scene.
Noms straight blacked out at one point and started scratch drumming Lil Kim’s “Jump Off” that sent the crowd into a frenzy.
And in true Nom’s fashion, he decided to switch things up and drop into a mean 90’s Dancehall set that sent everyone over the edge.
Noms was def on one.
And as for me…
I did the damn thing too.
Every tracked I dropped had the crowd singing their heart out so hard, folks were losing their voice by the end of the night.
I think I even caused some dude to sprain a booty muscle he was dancing so hard.
From classic R&B and early 2000’s Hip-Hop to Disco and House, I delivered the final 1,2 punch combo that demolished the dance floor.
Trust…it was that kind of night.
We love seeing all of the familiar and new faces that keep coming out. It's become a ritual for us and we couldn't be more grateful to have a crowd like you be a part of it.
If you thought 2018 was fire, just you wait. We have a whole lot of energy to put out for 2019 and then some.
Get ready to start 2019 with a vicious bang. We'll see you January 4th, 2019.
To you, from us
